Law Offices of Robert J. Keller, P.C.
Bob Keller has well over twenty-five years of experience representing
clients before the Federal Communications Commission, federal
courts, and state and federal regulatory agencies.
His practice concentration is telecommunications law, policy,
and regulation, with particular emphasis on wireless
telecommunications, new and emerging technologies,
transactions involving FCC-regulated entities and licensees,
and the special legal and regulatory issues relating to toll
free telephone numbers.
Mr. Keller took his law degree from the Columbus School of Law at the Catholic University
of America in Washington, D.C. He served on the Board of Chancellors
of the Moot Court Association, overseeing the mock trials program.
While in law school he interned at the FCC, serving for two years in
the office that regulated common carrier mobile radio communications
and oversaw the initial regulation and implementation of cellular
service in the United States.
Since graduating from law school in 1979, Mr. Keller has been
continuously engaged in the private practice of communications law.
In 1994 he left his position as partner in a communications law
firm to establish a solo law practice.
For ten years (1996-2006), Mr. Keller also served as an adjunct
faculty member at Catholic University's Institute for Communications Law Studies
where he developed and taught a course on the federal regulation
of wireless telecommunications systems and services.
He is a member in good standing of The District of Columbia Bar,
the Federal Communications Bar Association, and the American Bar
Association. As Amateur Radio Extra Class licensee KY3R, he is
also an active member of the American Radio Relay League.
Mr. Keller took his undergraduate degree from Catholic
University's School of Theology and Religious Studies.
Prior to entering law school he taught Algebra and Religion
at a Washington, D.C., parochial high school.
Bob lives in Bethesda, Maryland, with his wife, Laurie. They have
three children, the youngest of whom is currently in college.
